Moore & Son Bricklaying was founded by Jack Moore — a City & Guilds trained bricklayer with over 18 years of hands-on experience in construction, groundworks and hard landscaping. Jack started in the trade at 18, completing a full apprenticeship and spending over a decade working alongside his father at Foundation Building Services, delivering patios, drainage systems, foundations and structural works across Hampshire. From there he went on to spend eight years on large new-build developments constructing multi-million-pound foundations, before refining his craft further with Farrell Brickwork, specialising in high-volume residential brickwork and site-critical build accuracy. Today, that depth of trade knowledge is brought directly into every Moore & Son project — from porcelain patios and garden walls to driveways, fencing and full landscape redesigns. This isn’t landscaping by guesswork. It’s design-led construction, built properly, from the ground up. More than a builder — a problem solver. Because Moore & Son comes from a construction background, we don’t just build what looks good — we design what works. Sun paths. Drainage falls. Access routes. Ground conditions. Working across local Hampshire streets & conditions Moore & Son Bricklaying is a locally-based company working daily across residential roads including Nightingale Avenue, Oakmount Road, Sandy Lane and surrounding streets throughout Eastleigh, Fair Oak and Chandlers Ford. This part of Hampshire is affected by a combination of chalk ground, clay pockets and heavy seasonal rainfall, which creates unique challenges for brickwork, patios and drainage installations. These conditions often lead to movement, cracking and water retention when work is not adapted to the environment. Our experience working in these neighbourhoods means every project is designed around real local conditions — not generic methods — ensuring our brickwork and landscaping solutions remain durable, safe and visually consistent for years to come.
